In this course, you will learn the skills and techniques needed to train novice drivers to operate a Class 5 vehicle in Manitoba. You will learn to integrate safety and defensive driving techniques and to interpret sections of the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act, Drivers and Vehicles Act, and Regulations. This course includes 64 hours of classroom theory followed by 28 hours of practical training and 4 hours of practical certification.
NOTE: Assignment of instructors for Class 5 Theory (TRAN-1070), Class 5 Practical Training (TRAN-1071) and Class 5 Practical Certification (TRAN-1072) will solely be at the discretion of Red River College.

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
