Objectives/Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing the program, you will have the critical skills needed to function competently, professionally, and ethically as a warehousing and distribution specialist.

Specifically, you should be able to:

1. Demonstrate effective verbal, non-verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills appropriate to the workplace.
2. Use a variety of technologies and software to communicate, record and file information, and create documents.
3. Utilize transportation equipment appropriate to mode of transport.
4. Use a variety of tools, equipment and devices to pack, measure, move and store inventory.
5. Handle materials by inspecting, loading, unloading, filling and securing orders.
6. Comply with workplace safety, privacy, and health regulations by adhering to government legislation and industry regulations.
7. Follow security protocols by preparing plans, installing and maintaining devices and performing loss prevention activities.
8. Demonstrate professionalism by valuing diversity, respecting workplace culture, and committing to lifelong learning.
9. Demonstrate personal integrity, reliability, ethics, accountability, and resourcefulness in all roles and responsibilities.
