CO-OP/Practicum Information

This practicum will provide you with the opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and judgment learned in the theory-based courses of the program. The practicum is 200 hours in length, and is the capstone for the program. The practicum is assessed on a pass/fail basis.

Practicum Prerequisites

To attend the practicum you must:

  1. Successfully completed all courses
  2. Submit your Red River College photo ID card
  3. Have all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) prior to attending the practicum. Such equipment includes: safety shoes (CSA approved), safety glasses (CSA approved), hard hat (CSA approved), and hearing protection (ear plugs or headphones).
  4. Submit Adult Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check (ACRVS) and Provincial Child Abuse Registry (PCAR) check and Adult Abuse Registry (AAR) check documents if the site requires it.

Costs
