Who Should Enrol?

The courses in the Nurse Re-Entry Program are designed to assist nurses previously registered to return to active practice, to provide a review of current nursing theory, skills and practice standards to meet the College of Registered Nurses (CRNM) Entry Level Competencies for the Practice of Registered Nurses.

The Nurse Re-Entry Program will serve four distinct groups of students:

  • Previously registered nurses directed by a nursing regulatory body to take prescribed courses due to identified competency and knowledge gaps for the purpose of Registered Nurse license requirement.
  • Previously registered nurses directed by a nursing regulatory body to take prescribed courses due to disciplinary action for purposes of license registration requirement.
  • Previously registered nurses, IENs and Canadian educated nurses who wish to attain a college credential for the purpose of professional development.
  • Nurses with current registration with a regulatory body who wish to take courses for the purpose of professional development.  These students are considered undeclared students who can take courses in the program without formally applying to the program.
