In this camp, you will continue to build on your photography skills and explore your imagination as you continue to learn new concepts and skills. You will attend five one-hour sessions with an instructor and continue to participate in a 1-2 hour weekly photo assignment! Get ready to expand your photography knowledge by competing in weekly photo challenges and growing your artistry skills!

 
This camp focuses on photography, art and creativity. Only 10 seats per section are available.

Ages: 8-12.

Camp sections are also available for kids ages 13-16.

Recommended: Completion of Camp Canon - Photo Foundations or basic photography experience. 

Topics Include: 
  • Refresh of photo foundations including shutter speed, aperture and ISO
  • White balance
  • Measuring light
  • Incident vs Reflective Light Metering 
  • Framing and composition
  • Natural vs artificial light
  • Mood/atmosphere
  • Conceptual photography
  • Documentary photography
  • Photo sequence
  • Continuous Light vs Flash
  • Weekly photo challenges
  • Plus more
Materials Needed: 
  • Digital camera (e.g. DSLR or Mirrorless) from any brand
  • Microsoft Teams App (included with registration)
  • Secondary device for use with Microsoft Teams (recommended but not required)

In this course, you will learn the foundational photo-taking techniques by attending five one-hour sessions with an instructor and participating in a one-to-two-hour photo assignment! Get ready to bring your photography skills to the next level by competing in weekly photo challenges and stepping into the exciting world of photography!


This camp focuses on photography, art and creativity. Only 10 seats per section are available. 

Ages: 8-12.

  • Shutter Speed
  • Long Exposures
