TOOL-9005Tool and Equipment Use and Care
Students will learn the basic use and care of common hand tools, power tools, and equipment found at most work sites where general labourers are employed. The focus will be on understanding what each can be used for, the safety features, and the proper ergonomics when using. Students will also review the importance of regular maintenance and care of tools and equipment and the various inspection procedures.
Students who successfully complete this micro-credential are awarded with a digital badge in Tool and Equipment Use and Care.
An overall digital badge in General Labour will be awarded to students who successfully complete the following three micro-credentials:
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
