SAFE-9006Safety Standards and Awareness
This course will address how to work professionally in a safe environment and explore the rules and regulations that govern a general labourer's workplace. Students will examine safety policies and procedures and the importance of following them. Students will analyze how to create a safe working environment and what can jeopardize the safety of employees, employers and even clients. The knowledge gained will then be applied to the standard documentation required of general labourers.
Students who successfully complete this micro-credential are awarded with a digital badge in Safety Standards and Awareness.
An overall digital badge in General Labour will be awarded to students who successfully complete the following three micro-credentials:
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
