NURS-2100Travel Health
Apply the foundational knowledge obtained in the prerequisite course Essentials of RN Prescribing Practice (NURS-1100) as it relates to prescribing practices specific to travel health immunization. As a Registered Nurse, you will build on knowledge related to the pathogenesis of disease; concepts of immunology; medications used to prevent and treat travel health diseases or conditions. You will have the opportunity to learn more about governing laws, regulations, and guidelines. Foundational and introductory knowledge are applied to the components of the nursing process including assessment of travel health. You will draw on and apply knowledge of content and professional practice in completing critical thinking/clinical judgment case studies.
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
