COMP-2366Windows Server Administration Intro

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to manage accounts and resources in a Microsoft Windows Server™ 2016 and 2019 environment. The course is intended for systems administrator and anyone responsible for managing Windows networks. These tasks include managing user, computer, and group accounts; managing access to network resources; managing printers; managing an organizational unit in a network based on Active Directory® directory service; and implementing Group Policy to manage users and computers.  The emphasis is on Server 2016 & 2019.

The course is intended for systems administrator and systems engineer candidates who are responsible for managing accounts and resources.

Prerequisites

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.

Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
