COMP-1116Linux Professional
This course is intended for entry-level computer support professionals with basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks and operating systems. This is intended to students that wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of Linux concepts and skills to prepare for a career in Linux support or administration, or to prepare for the CompTIA® Linux+(TM) certification. The course has tests and virtual labs for every section in the course that can be attempted as many times as desired. There are three major, on line, written tests and two, on line, virtual lab tests. There is also an on line, proctored, final exam that will be written at a location determined by RRC. The student will also have a limited, unsupported, time access (1 year), to sample Linux+ certification exams.
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
