The Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping Designation

You will be granted a Certified Institute Bookkeeping (CIB) designation from CIB if you complete nine credit courses through Red River College and have a minimum of three years bookkeeping experience in Canada. Please visit the "College Equivalency" under Academic Program at www.cibcb.com

You must enrol with CIB and register for all nine courses with them. Please refer to the website at www.cibcb.com for enrollment and registration process.

If you are working in the bookkeeping/accounting field, you are eligible to enrol in CIB before or after completion of nine courses. If you have never worked in this field, you need to complete the Academic part of the program first.

To obtain your designation, you must currently be working full-time as a bookkeeper.

NOTE: The passing grade for CIB credits is 65% (C+).
