Program revision effective Monday, August 31, 2026. Students starting Fall 2026 will follow the updated curriculum. Current students will complete the existing program structure.

Drafting/CAD Program Requirements

For students who started before August 31, 2026 

To earn a certificate, you must complete six courses.

First Course of Study:

  • Building Materials 
Core Courses:
  • Drafting Fundamentals 
  • Residential Construction
  • Commercial Construction 
  • Technical Drawings Fundamentals
  • AutoCAD 3: 3D Modelling

For students who start on or after August 31, 2026 

To earn a certificate, you must complete six courses.

Core Courses:
  • Building Materials 
  • CAD Standards & Quality Assurance 
  • Drafting Fundamentals 
  • Commercial Construction 
  • Technical Drawings Fundamentals or AutoCAD microcredentials equivalency
  • AutoCAD 3: 3D Modelling
