The Refrigeration Mechanical Trades Certificate provides you with a Canadian perspective of the fundamental knowledge and skills required to install and repair Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial buildings. Through consultation with industry experts, this program has been developed to ensure you will learn the skills employers are seeking.
An emphasis on the efficient and safe use of tools and materials in accordance with building codes and regulations prepares you for a career in Refrigeration, Sheet Metal, or Power Engineering. Valuable skills such as material handling, soldering, layout, and estimating are studied and practiced.
Gain hands-on experience and learn on-the-job techniques during the 2-week Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement. Industry professionals will safely guide you and share their experiences as you work alongside them in this Apprenticeship Manitoba accredited program.
