Paramedicine - Advanced Care
Program Outline
- Program consists of seventeen (17) courses taken over seven (7) academic terms.
- In terms 3, 6 and 7 students will apply theory in hands-on Simulation Lab courses, as well as Work-Integrated Clinical Rotations, and Field Practicum experiences.
- Part-time students will receive a post-graduate diploma in twenty (28) months if all program requirements are met in consecutive terms.
- The program offers the flexibility to allow students up to five years to complete all courses due to its course-based design.
- Program includes three (3) and six (6) credit hour course offerings delivered to students in no more than a 12-hour academic week
- This program meets the standards of the National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) for Advance Care Paramedics developed by the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC).
- Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to challenge the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) national licensing Entry-to-Practice Exam for Advance Care Paramedic.
- This program complies with the requirements as set out by Accreditation Canada EQualâ„¢.
