FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. I have modified high school credits. What programs might I qualify for?

All programs at RRC Polytech have admission requirements that you must meet for acceptance into your desired program. High school courses that have been modified (E or M level courses) will not be accepted as proof of meeting an admissions requirement. If you have modified designations on any admission requirement credit, you are required to write an Academic Assessment test to determine your eligibility for the program. We recommend you complete this testing prior to submitting your application. Then, once your application is submitted and you receive your results, you will submit them with your official transcripts by your 15 day deadline.

2. Which assessment will I be required to complete?

Academic Assessment Test (Special Admissions Assessment). These tests are used to determine the eligibility of applicants who do not meet regular or mature admission requirements. The type of assessment you need to write depends on the admission requirements of the program you are applying to. For example, if you have a modified high school English credit you will need to successfully complete an assessment for English. Applicants are responsible for scheduling and completing these assessments directly with Assessment Services. Your results are required by your 15 day deadline therefore, we strongly recommend you complete your assessment prior to submitting your application.
