The College requires verification of your complete academic history including any public or private high school, college, university, or technical institutes you have attended. We require submission of your official post-secondary transcripts even if the Red River College Polytechnic program you are applying to does not require post-secondary education as an admission requirement. Post-secondary transcripts must be dated within the past six months and submitted in a sealed envelope directly from the post-secondary institution. Faxes are not acceptable.
If you do not meet the academic admission requirements of your program of interest for one of the following reasons, you may complete Academic Assessment testing prior to submitting your application:
We strongly advise you to complete this testing prior to submitting your application to ensure you can provide your results within 15 days of applying. Please see Frequently Asked Questions below for more information.
If you completed or are enrolled in Modified (M), English as an Additional Language (E), or GED high school courses you will be required to complete English language requirements and/or admission assessments to determine your admission eligibility.
The following items will be accepted to determine academic admission eligibility:
Information on international secondary school credentials that may be used to meet entrance requirements at RRC Polytech can be found here.
All programs at RRC Polytech have admission requirements that you must meet for acceptance into your desired program. High school courses that have been modified (E or M level courses) will not be accepted as proof of meeting an admissions requirement. If you have modified designations on any admission requirement credit, you are required to write an Academic Assessment test to determine your eligibility for the program. We recommend you complete this testing prior to submitting your application. Then, once your application is submitted and you receive your results, you will submit them with your official transcripts by your 15 day deadline.
Academic Assessment Test (Special Admissions Assessment). These tests are used to determine the eligibility of applicants who do not meet regular or mature admission requirements. The type of assessment you need to write depends on the admission requirements of the program you are applying to. For example, if you have a modified high school English credit you will need to successfully complete an assessment for English. Applicants are responsible for scheduling and completing these assessments directly with Assessment Services. Your results are required by your 15 day deadline therefore, we strongly recommend you complete your assessment prior to submitting your application.

RRC Polytech is committed to providing student with disabilities equal opportunity to demonstrate their skills and ability. Students with diagnosed disabilities can receive accommodations (referred to as “adaptations” in high school) for admissions testing. Prior to booking your admission test, if you wish to request accommodations, you must first book an appointment with Accessibility Services to determine your eligibility.
In this appointment, you are required to provide adequate documentation verifying your disability. For documentation guidelines review the disability documentation guide. Together with your counsellor, an accommodation plan for your admission test will be made. Information about accommodations for a future program can also be explored.
Academic Advisors can provide you with information about RRC Polytech full-time programs; help you to understand admission requirements; assist you in selecting a program to meet your goals; and connect you with helpful people, resources, and support. Book an appointment with an academic advisor and for tips on how to best prepare for this meeting.
