This course will address the typical mathematics needed to work as a general labourer in various settings, which may include construction, manufacturing, or agriculture. Students will solve basic math problems and then examine scenarios and problems in various settings. Students will also become familiar with common industry terms and practices that are used in the workplace.
Students who successfully complete this micro-credential are awarded with a digital badge in Math and Measurement.
An overall digital badge in General Labour will be awarded to students who successfully complete the following three micro-credentials:
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
