The primary technical issues, tools and techniques that underpin Six Sigma are developed and explored. The Six Sigma principles, its problem-solving orientation, methodology and synergy with quality control and lean systems are covered. Statistical thinking and the role of statistical tools is developed along with the other basic quality techniques. Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, quality processes and other primary principles are included.
In addtion to Introduction to Total Quality Management, Business Statistics is also recommended as a prerequisite for this course.
