PROF-9011Second Assistant Film Accountant Fundamentals - Accounts Payable

In this micro-credential course, students will be introduced to accounting processes in the film industry. Students will focus on the analysis of film production budgets, evaluate production expenses, and process them using financial accounting software (Sage 50). Ancillary work outside of software use is explored to better understand the film industry accounting workflow.

Note: The film accounting series (PROF-9011, PROF-9012 and PROF-9013) can be taken in any order. However, if you are new to the field, we suggest you take the courses in sequence.

Students who successfully complete this micro-credential course are awarded a digital badge in Second Assistant Film Accountant Fundamentals - Accounts Payable.

Students who successfully complete the following three micro-credential courses are awarded an overall digital badge in Film Accounting:

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.

Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
