Applicants must be active practicing members of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) OR College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
To apply, applicants must complete and submit an application and the non-refundable/non-transferable application fee.
Applicants must also complete and/or demonstrate the following:
- Related clinical experience
- Submit a completed Verification of Clinical Practice form confirming clinical practice hours (a minimum of three years' experience as an RN with considerable experience in a related area where the student has experience prescribing under protocols) due within 30-days of applying
AND
- Letter of Support from employer addressed to Nurse Prescriber Admissions Officer indicating the length of time practicing in the targeted area and evidence of engagement in the workplace due within 30 days of applying.

Program Progression Requirements
Program progression requirements are not due within 30 days of applying and should be submitted after you start classes.
Practicum Prerequisites
- Immunization and Testing
- Review the Healthcare Program Immunizations Information
- If you have any questions about this requirement contact Health Services
- Adult Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector (ACRVS), Adult Abuse Registry (AAR) and Provincial Child Abuse Registry (PCAR) checks conducted no more than six months prior to you attending the clinical practice. You must submit original documents. For further information, see: Police Information Check. If students have a criminal record, they may not be able to complete the program. If students are listed on the Child Abuse Registry or Adult Abuse Registry, you will not be able to complete the program.
- BLS Provider (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Level C with AED) - must be current within one year of attending the practicum.
- N95 Mask Fit required and set to the facility you will be placed at for your Consolidated Clinical Practice.
