Description

Develop the knowledge and technical skills required for a career as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDR).

You will undertake both a theory and practical component related to the decontamination, cleaning, processing, assembly, sterilization, storage and distribution of medical devices and supplies within a health care setting.

As members of the health care team, MDRs play a vital role providing support to patient care services in hospitals and clinical settings.

You must complete the program within 32 months.

You must complete a Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) session prior to registering for the MDR-Clinical Practice.

Note: Clinical practicum placements cannot be guaranteed as spaces are limited and available on a fluctuating basis. There may be a waiting period for practicum registrations and placements.
