PART-TIME | WINNIPEG LOCATIONS CANIP-EA Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping

Overview

The Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB) equivalency is no longer available.

CIB has dissolved their organization and sold its assets to the Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (CPB Canada). We are working with CPB Canada to align our curriculum with CPB Canada's framework and become an Authorized Educational Provider; please check back soon for a new opportunity for a bookkeeping designation. If you are a student currently working towards your CIB, we recommend contacting CPB Canada directly at https://cpbcan.ca/index.html to discuss your options.

Please note: This program is still available for enrolment but is not affiliated with CPB Canada.

  • Available by classroom delivery; some courses available by distance delivery
  • Credit transfer opportunity: CIB
Description

Develop the skills required to become a Certified Bookkeeper. You gain in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping practices and the computer applications that support the practice. Many of these courses are credits in several other RRC Polytech certificate programs.

Courses in this program are equivalent courses to help you attain the designation of CB - "Certified Bookkeeper." This is the designation from the CIB, a national non-profit organization dedicated to preparing individuals for professional positions and advancement in a financial environment. CIB's objective is to establish professional and ethical standards within the bookkeeping profession.

RRC Polytech offers eight of the nine courses needed for the CIB designation. RRC Polytech does not issue certificates or graduate students from the CIB program.
