Admission Requirements

Regular Admission Requirements

Successful completion of Grade 12.

Please note that Criminal Records Check(s) may be required for some practicum sites. If you are unable to meet this requirement, it may limit your practicum opportunities. Should this be the case, a practicum site will still be provided where this is not a requirement.

Mature Student Admission Requirements
If you are 19 years of age or older and have been out of high school for a minimum of one year at time of application, and you do not meet the regular admission requirements, you may apply under the Mature Student admission requirements.

As a part of these special admission requirements, you will also have to complete testing in certain skill areas to ensure you are prepared to enter the program. For further information, please inquire.

English as an Additional Language Requirements

If you are applying to this program with English as a second language you will have to undergo English Language Proficiency testing.


The scores required for entry are as follows:

English Language Proficiency:

  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) exit levels:  7 - Listening; 7 - Speaking; 7 - Reading; 7 - Writing
  • IELTS:  6.0 - Listening; 6.0 - Speaking; 6.0 - Reading; 6.0 - Writing
  • TOEFL: 17 - Listening; 17 - Speaking; 17 - Reading; 17 - Writing
  • CanTEST: 4.0 - Listening; 4.0 - Speaking; 3.5 - Reading; 3.5 - Writing
