Overview

  • Micro-credential courses
Description:

Take a micro-credential to enhance your teaching skills and strategies for your classroom context.  You will learn current and evolving teaching practices that apply to a K-12 or post-secondary context and enhance your teaching and knowledge to support students and instructor success.

Micro-credentials are non-credit, applied, and shorter training opportunities for in-demand skills and areas of interest. Most micro-credentials are fifteen hours and are developed in consultation with educators to meet the demands of today's classrooms.

Who Should Enrol?

Educators, instructors, and those who work in the teaching field from K-12 and post-secondary will benefit from the micro-credentials offered in Education and Teaching Excellence. Micro-credentials are developed to respond to specific emerging topics in the 21st century classroom. Take the micro-credentials if you are a lifelong learner looking to upskill your practical application of specific teaching strategies that address current teaching realities.

Professional experience as faculty is not a pre-requisite requirement to take the micro-credentials. Prospective students are encouraged to self-assess the relevance to their work or future work. Educational assistants, teacher assistants, tutors, educational developers, and other professions may also benefit from the micro-credentials.
