MRIS-1027Patient Care and MR Safety
This course is designed to prepare participants to acquire knowledge and skills in screening, preparing, assessing and assisting patients for MR examinations. After a brief review of human interactions, basic nursing skills, ethical and legal aspects of care, following content areas are covered at a level required of MRI technologist: clinical history taking, patient and public screening, contrast agents and sedative administration, physical and psychological preparation for MRI, MR safety regulations and procedures, and biological hazards associated with MRI. This course may be offered through Web CT.
