PRAC-4002Diagnostic Medical Sonography Practicum 1

In this course, students will begin to apply concepts of Diagnostic Sonography to clinical practice at an RRC affiliated diagnostic imaging department within a healthcare facility. Students will build on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills learned in the didactic phase of the program and apply them in a clinical setting. Under appropriate supervision, students will be given the opportunity to perform general scanning procedures while expanding their ability to identify common pathologies. This course will also reinforce and strengthen student’s patient care skills, history taking, ability to write technical impressions, communication with radiologists, and overall patient management.

MEDL-3048, ULTR-3014, ULTR-3016 (minimum grade of B required), ULTR-3015 ULTR-3017 and ULTR-3018
