TOUR-1005Tourism Sales
A well planned and executed sales strategy is essential
in selling tourism products in the fastest growing economic sector in the
global marketplace. By the end of this course students will be able to demonstrate
the sales techniques necessary to sell sustainable goods and services in the
tourism industry. Emphasis will be on sourcing and qualifying business,
creating proposals, building relationships and communicating effectively in
order to determine client needs, and taking the required steps to complete the
sales process. Students will learn how to build and maintain client
relationships as an ongoing commitment. Class participation will include
theoretical learning, class activities, guest speakers, case studies, group and
individual assignments, and verbal presentations.
