TRAD-1027Basic Housewiring
Students will interpret wiring diagrams and symbols, understand the various devices and equipment associated with house wiring, will learn the process for properly terminating wiring and grounding in order to comply with Electrical code. The student will become proficient in wiring with non-metallic sheathed cable and will wire projects and test operation of circuits. (First Class is Mandatory)
Entrance Requirements
WHMIS Training Course on LEARN is to be completed before the start date of your course.
Students must have their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the first day of class. (First Class is Mandatory)
- Eye protection and face protection (Safety Glasses)
- Foot Protection - Safety boots must be CSA approved (green triangle) Grade I classification.
- Hearing Protection
- Appropriate occupational attire will comply with the RRC Policies and Procedures E7. The electrical administration deemed (shorts) inappropriate attire in our lab or shop facilities.
