MATH-1142Pre-Technology Mathematics

This course is to give students the skills necessary to cope with the technology mathematics they will encounter. It is to act as a bridge between consumer mathematics and Algebra and Trigonometery. Basic mathematical functions will be reviewed pertaining to whole numbers, fractions, decimal, percent, ratio and proportion. Then students are introduced to and will learn to apply the fundamentals rules of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Students will be asked to give solutions to problems encountered in technology and to present them in a clear, logical, and coherent manner.

Other Information

This not a credit course in the technology programs.

Entrance Requirements

Student must have consumer mathematics as a minimum.
