You must complete the program within 32 months.
Evidence of successful completion of a basic computer skills course at the post-secondary level is required for this program. The following course meets this requirement:
First course of study:
- HUC - Medical Terminology (Minimum grade of 75% required to continue in the program) - C/D
Minimum grade of 70% required in each of the following:
- Health Care Delivery - D
- *Safety in Health Care Settings - D (*can be taken in conjunction with Health Care Delivery)
- Interpersonal Relationships - D
- HUC - Order Transcription - C (Spring term only)
- HUC - Diagnostic and Therapeutic Orders - C (Fall term only)
- Admission-Transfer-Discharge - C (Winter term only)
The following courses must be taken within one year of attending Clinical:
- Non-Violent Crises Intervention ®Training Program - C
- BLS Provider (formerly BLS for Healthcare Providers) - C
Last courses of study:
- Safety Skills 1-Day Lab (must be taken prior to attending clinical practice)
- **HUC - Clinical Practice (240 hours)
**You must be available for a six-week period (240 hours) for day, evening and weekend shifts. See CO-OP/Practicum Information for requirements.
