CADD-3003AutoCAD 3: 3D Modelling
This course is designed to introduce students to the tools, concepts and methods of modelling 3D content in AutoCAD. Explore AutoCAD's 3D modelling and visualization capabilities while you learn to create and edit 3D surface, solid and wireframe elements for documentation and presentation.
Students are introduced to topics including:
- create moderately complex objects in 3D;
- modify objects in 3D;
- apply materials and lighting;
- apply camera perspectives;
- set up a 3D model for rendering; and
- convert 3D content to 2D drawings.
Instruction is provided through written and video instruction to produce practice drawings and graded assignments.
Although the suggested time for this course is ten (10) weeks, students will work at their own pace to achieve completion within four months of registration.

Students require the following computer requirements:
- Internet Connection
- Windows 10 - 64-bit computer
- Minimum 4GB, 8GB recommended
- Multi-core Intel Xeon, or i-series processor or AMD equivalent with SSE2 technology. The highest affordable CPU speed rating is recommended.
- AutoCAD software will be provided by Autodesk when registered as a student.
