This course supports learners preparing for the Ice Facility Operator Exam by building foundational knowledge and applying it in an exam context. Learners will explore relevant regulations and site hazards and the responsibilities of operators to maintain the safe operation of ice facilities. They will build familiarity with terminology, components, and processes associated with floor cooling and subfloor heating systems, basic electricity, and plant safety equipment, and emergency response. Learners will also apply mathematics and trade science to various facility scenarios. By the end of this course, students will develop proficiency in applying trade knowledge to multiple-choice exams to support their success on the Ice Facility Operator Exam.

Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
