This course supports learners preparing for the Refrigeration Plant Operator Exam by building foundational knowledge and applying it in an exam context. Learners will explore refrigeration regulations and site hazards and the responsibilities of operators to maintain the safe operation of plants. They will build familiarity with terminology, components, and processes associated with compressors, controls, condensers, cooling towers, evaporators, electrical circuits, and HVAC systems. Learners will also apply mathematics and trade science to various plant scenarios. By the end of this course, students will develop proficiency in applying trade knowledge to multiple-choice exams to support their success on the Refrigerator Plant Operator Exam.
