PART-TIME | WINNIPEG LOCATIONS TECMP-CT Technology Management - Certificate

Overview

**The college has conducted a review of the part time offering of the Technology Management certificate program.

As a result, this program is no longer accepting new students as of November 1st, 2019

Current enrolled students are invited to contact Melissa Fontaine at mfontaine@rrc.ca to discuss completion plans.

The purpose of this certificate program is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to supervise and manage people and projects in a technical field. Students will learn by studying project management, marketing, managerial communications, business policies, human organizational behavior, finance and economics.

Technology Management is targeted to students with technical diplomas and degrees. The program offers a condensed, accessible solution to the demand for advanced management training by providing technologists and others with the knowledge and skills required to perform as supervisors or managers in technical organizations.

The program complements students’ current technical skills with important managerial skills. Graduates will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to: adapt to changing technological environments; develop management strategies and business plans; identify market opportunities and develop and implement marketing strategies; manage research and development or technical projects; understand organizational diversity, manage it effectively and build multi-disciplinary teams; create budgets and apply the principles of economics, accounting, and finance; and apply oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

NOTE: The Technology Management Diploma program requires two more courses than this Technology Management Certificate. The diploma program requires that students also complete Applied Research Methods (RESR-1004) and Graduation Project (MGMT-1018).
