ENGI-1125Power Eng. 3rd Class - A2
The purpose of this course is to prepare the student to write the Department of Labour exam. This second paper covers Industrial Legislation, ASME codes and pressure piping, fuels and combustion, electrotechnology, electrical calculations, control instrumentation, Fire Prevention and plant safety, the types and arrangements of industrial plants under the Power Engineer's responsibility.
Entrance Requirements
Applicant must hold a valid Fourth class power engineers certificate, plus valid work experience which will be determined by staff position and classification of plant.
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
