ENGI-1027Power Eng. 3rd Class - B1
The purpose of this course is to prepare the student to write the Department of Labour exam. This first paper covers Boilers and pressure plants and construction, the proper firing methods, Boiler control systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Theory of pumping, and Welding under the Power Engineer's responsibility.
Entrance Requirements
Applicant must hold a valid Fourth class power engineers certificate, plus valid work experience which will be determined by staff position and classification of plant.
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
