In this workshop, participants explore photography as a way to honor memory, preserve meaning, and document personal or family stories. They learn to create expressive images that convey legacy through mood, symbolism, and thoughtful composition. Participants reflect on their own lived experiences and explore themes such as connection, identity, tradition, and time through a visual lens. By curating a small photo series and engaging in written or spoken reflections. participants build confidence in their ability to communicate personal or family legacy. This workshop supports student growth and personal storytelling, contributing to lifelong learning pathways rooted in creativity.
Equipment required - Any camera (including phones), optional journal or writing tool.
Textbooks and Booklists
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
