GENI-9341Home Energy Retrofits Strategies

This three-day (24-hour) training equips renovators and contractors with the knowledge and tools needed to guide homeowners in making effective retrofit decisions. Participants will learn how to evaluate a home to identify the most impactful retrofit opportunities, design retrofit solutions that maximize energy savings, comfort, and durability, and ensure that the execution phase is both practical and effective. Given the increasing challenges of housing affordability, this course emphasizes strategies that help renovators and homeowners achieve the greatest long-term value from their retrofit investments.

Funding Information:
This course is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program and offered in partnership with the Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2)
Valued at $1,500, but for a limited time, this training is available to RRC Polytech students for just $150.

Prerequisites:
No formal prerequisites are required, but the course is best suited for individuals with experience or interest in construction, renovation, or building performance.

Credential Awarded:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an Acknowledgement of Participation Certificate from RRC Polytech.

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.

Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
