NDIN-1001LPI Practical Workshop

This 40 hr. Practical workshop will focus on carrying out Liquid penetrant inspections on an assortment of parts relevant to the NDT industry. As per CGSB Rules of Implementation for CAN/CGSB-48.9712 this 40 hr. Practical workshop will be equal to 200 hrs. of practical experience towards CGSB certification (please see http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/mining-materials/non-destructive-testing/8586 for more information).

Technicians will be carrying out numerous inspections to various standards used in the industry such as ASME, CSA, ASNT as well as part specific techniques used in the aviation industry. They will be provided instruction in code/standard/technique interpretation as well as defect identification and assessment to the appropriate document. They will be required to complete reports for all items inspected.
