PART-TIME | WINNIPEG LOCATIONS INFPP-CT Information Systems Programmer/Analyst

Program Outline

You must successfully complete 15 courses to earn a certificate. You must obtain a minimum grade of C (60%) in each course, please ensure that you meet the prerequisites for each course.

You may take your chosen elective course at any time during study.

Note: Many of the courses in this program can be used for credit in the Project Management and Business Analyst programs.

Once you have completed the requirements for group one and two, you are eligible for the Software Development Certificate:

Group 1:  Introduction to Development: Complete all Three

  • Software Development Fundamentals - C/D
  • SQL - Structured Query Language - C/D
  • Business Analyst - Intro - C/D

Group 2:  Object Oriented Programming Streams: Complete all Four Classes from One Stream

Java Stream

  • Programming (Java 1) - C/D
  • Programming (Java 2) - D
  • Programming (Java 3) - D
  • Programming (Java Project) - D

Visual Basic.Net Stream

  • Visual Basic.NET 1 - C/D
  • Visual Basic.NET 2 - C/D
  • Visual Basic.NET 3 - C/D
  • Visual Basic.NET 4 (V.B Project) - C/D

Exit Point – Once you have successfully completed all required classes from Groups 1 and 2, you are eligible for the Software Development Certificate Certificate

Group 3:  Data and Business Systems: Complete all Six:

  •     Business Systems Design - C/D
  •     Business Analyst - Facilitation - C/D
  •     Project Management Fundamentals - C/D
  •     Object Oriented Analysis & Design - D
  •     Introduction to Canadian Business - C
  •     Business Systems Testing - C/D

    Group 4 : Electives (Choose One):

    • Asp.Net – Intro - D
    • Management Information Systems - D
    • Manual Writing and Design - C/D
    • Project Mgmt Plan and Estimate - C/D

    You must complete all required classes from Groups 1- 4 before registering for the Group 5  - Final Project.

    Group 5: Final Project

    • ISPA Business Case Project - C
