HEAL-1845Health Care Delivery

Cultivate an understanding of the Manitoba health care system. Topics include the roles of individual members of the health care team, multiculturalism, ethical and legal considerations, problem-solving and the organization of workload, and the role of the health care aide in admitting, transferring and discharging patients.

Other Information

Must be first course taken but may be taken in conjunction with: HEAL-1001 Interpersonal Relationships, SEMR-9078 Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Workshop, HCAP-1006 Introduction to Gerontology, HCAP-1132 Growth and Development, HEAL-1831 Safety in Health Care Settings.

Prerequisites

HEAL-1845 Health Care Delivery can be taken in conjunction with HEAL-1001, HCAP-1006, HCAP-1132, HEAL-1831 and SEMR-9078

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
