HLTH-1004Introduction to Health Care Delivery

This course will provide an overview of the Canadian Healthcare system in general and specifically, within Manitoba.  The course will cover hospital organization and structure, medical staff, healthcare professionals, hospital insurance, funding of healthcare, and current trends and impacts. The role of the health information management professional plays in the healthcare system, will be explored.

Prerequisites

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.

Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
