CADD-1001Revit 1
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is revolutionizing the design and construction process. Learn how to use Revit, the most widely recognized BIM software by Autodesk. Revit is unlike CAD. Revit uses intelligent objects instead of lines and circles. You create walls; not a bunch of lines that represent walls. When you insert a window or door into a wall, Revit knows that it must create a hole in the wall to accommodate that window or door. Not only does Revit produce traditional deliverables like plans, elevations, and sections, it also creates a 3D model that can be used to visualize your project or extract intelligent data regarding the construction of your project. Learn the basics now, so that you are ready when your company decides to make the jump.
Students will be introduced to Revit from an architectural perspective producing multistory plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and 3D views.
