Start to learn the basic functions of AutoCAD (computer aided drafting software). Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to produce accurate and complete simple two-dimensional working drawings in both imperial and metric measurements. You will understand the concepts of formatting units, layers, text and dimensions. You will know how and when to add or modify objects, text, dimensions and hatching.
You will be provided with access to AutoCAD 2017 software for installation on your own computer. Instruction will be given through written and video instruction in order to produce practice drawings and graded assignments. You will work at your own pace with completion within four months of registration.
Beginning September 1, 2018: students enrolling in Online Education courses will be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus stores or online. To review booklists and purchase textbooks, please visit bookstore.rrc.ca.
Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
