This course will assist persons who require recurrent training and is designed to aid a student in studying for preparation of the Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance (M Category) Powerplant Exam. The student will be able to explain relevant areas as they pertain to:

• Fixed & Rotary Wing Rigging Procedures
• Structural Designs
• Hydraulics/Pneumatics
• Landing Gear/Types/Operation
• Tires/Tubes/Types, Construction/Installation/Removal
• Brakes/Types/Operation
• Lines/Fittings requirements
• Fuel Systems
• Fabric Requirements
• Painting/Refinishing
• Pressurization/Air-Conditioning/Oxygen Systems
• Ice and Rain Control Systems
• Hardware/Inspection & Types of Repair
• Aircraft Basic Electricity
• Instruments
• Aircraft Wood/Composites
Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
