In this
introduction to the Python language, students will develop the skills required
to run, design, and debug Python programs. After learning what constitutes a
software program, students will build a vocabulary of basic Python syntax and
structures. Using standard software development techniques, students will
create Python programs from the standard library to perform increasingly
complex tasks. The course prepares students for entry-level jobs and careers
connected with software development, including programming and software
testing. Graduates of this course will be prepared to write the PCEP-Certified
Entry-Level Python Programmer certification exam (PCEP-30-01) from the Python
Institute.
