CADD-2004AutoCAD Advanced

This course builds upon the concepts learned in the AutoCAD Intermediate Micro-credential. Students will practice using advanced AutoCAD tools when preparing two-dimensional (2D) technical documents including sheet sets, automation tools, text fields, layer management, Customization of the User Interface (CUI) and parametric drawing. They will be introduced to the processes and strategies for publishing and transmitting technical documents through standard industry methods of collaboration. Students will complete 2D drawings in AutoCAD using both imperial and metric units along with projects demonstrating the use of advanced tools and processes using AutoCAD.

Each of the three AutoCAD micro-credential courses award an official RRC Polytech digital badge that can be shared on social media, with a fourth badge awarded for completing all three of the micro-credentials.

Textbooks and Booklists

Students enrolling in Part-Time and Online Education courses may be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus Store locations or online at bookstore.rrc.ca. Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.

Note: Courses requiring a textbook will show "TR" in the Delivery field.
