MBIO-2002Advanced Microbiology

In this course, students will build on their knowledge of microbiology by examining its application in food production, water treatment, and other commercial products. Students will be taught how to grow and maintain bacterial cultures while performing microbial counts and using biochemical reactions to identify selected bacteria. They will also review the guidelines governing food safety, sanitation in food processing, and food microbiological analysis.
