  • 12-14-month Post-Graduate Certificate program
  • The program consists of 4 core courses and 1 practicum course. Additional courses are available based on the learning needs of applicants to meet entry level competencies for registered nurses in Manitoba
  • This program usually fills with Manitoba residents. Out-of-province applicants may apply to this program but will only be considered should seats be available three months prior to the program start date.
  • If you have a criminal record you may not be able to complete this program. If you are listed on a Child Abuse Registry or Adult Abuse Registry you will not be able to complete this program. See Program Progression Requirements for more info. 
  • All applicants must meet Admission Requirements within 15 days of applying. To prevent the cancellation of your application, do not apply until you are prepared to submit the required documentation within 15 days of applying. 
Description

The program is designed to assist nurses previously registered to return to active practice. Students in the program are Canadian educated nurses and Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN)s. The NREP is a gap training program and courses are designed to specifically address the competency and knowledge gaps to meet entry level competencies for registered nurses in Manitoba.

If you are required by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba to enhance your nursing knowledge and skills to be eligible for RN Registration in Manitoba, you may be referred to RRC Polytech as a part of the registration process. If you need to upgrade your English language skills prior to starting the process, contact Red River College Polytechnic's Language Training Centre at 204-945-6151 and enquire about the Communication for Health Professions program.

Following successful completion of the program, you will receive a Post-Graduate Certificate from Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech).
