This course provides students with the foundational patient care skills required to provide quality care and comfort in acute care, long-term care or independent living environments. This course is the first of a two-part series of courses; both of which focus on important routine care practices that are developed through comprehensive simulated learning activities.
Key topics within this course include patient comfort, exercise and activity, personal hygiene, and skin care. The course also includes critical safe practice standards with zero tolerance for error expectations aligned to current healthcare standards.
