READ-0002Level 2 Reading and Writing Skills

In this course, students will develop their English language reading and writing skills to build a foundation for success with settlement, academic, and employment activities.  Students will apply a variety of reading strategies to build active reading comprehension skills, increasing their ability to preview, skim, and analyze a text, while identifying critical paragraph features. Students will develop writing skills to organize and show relationships between ideas within sentences and paragraphs. Students will build foundational skills in grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics in writing.
